“Hi there! My name is Annie, I am a multi-disciplinary artist originally from the unceded Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) lands, also known as Vancouver, Canada.
I am in the motions of completely my degree at Emily Carr University; Majoring in Critical and Cultural Art Practices. I’m deeply curious about materiality, process art, ecology, comfort, spirituality, desire, and embodiment.
I feel so much excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to create with the children of our community! I’m excited to imagine and invent new worlds with the kids through drawing, sculpture, painting and the collaging of mediums. I hope to develop these worlds through rediscovering the possibility of everyday materials, being curious about the local ecology, going on sensory adventures of process based work, and experiencing the symbiosis of mixing natural and manufactured media.
